I wish I could remember the year but I think the strangest wierdest holloween was the year we didn’t get to trick or treat. The day started out a nice warm day. Went to school wearing shorts and t-shirt it was so warm. By the time we went home from school the temp had dropped considerably. With in a hour of school letting out it started to snow. By the time Trick or Treating would have come around it was a full blown Blizzard. At which point my parents said no trick or treating. But there were a few people who did go out trick or treating (the brave souls they were). By late that night the city was shut down and no one was going anywere. There were cars stranded in parking lots and people stuck in malls.

Hi Savannah- Let’s see, the funniestHalloween might have been when my friend and I from work, dressed up as dice. They were totally home made, lol, with huge boxes that we painted up, put cutouts for our arms and head, and we just wore leatards and tights underneath. We actually looked pretty good, the only problem was that we both worked desk jobs, and when we went to sit down, the boxes rose up and covered us to our fore heads, we couldn’t see anything but up on the ceiling. There was no way I was going to spend the day sitting around in a slinky leotard, so we got assigned filing duty for the day. Spent the whole day on our feet, sorting and filing reports. Took all the fun out of what was suppossed to be a party day. But you can bet that I planned a bit better that following year.

I guess my weridess Halloween was the last year I went trick or treating I was 13 and was with a couple friends. The whole night this guy in a Micheal Myers mask followed us around town. It was down right freaky.

My funniest was a couple of years ago. I worked for a Wal-mart neighbood store and we had these guys walk in. Two of them where dressed as Adam and Eve and the leaves were removable. They were handing out beads to everyone. I think most of us were laughing so hard we couldn’t breath. Some customers had to get pictures with them. LOL

The funniest Halloween story that I can remember was 20 years ago, when I was probably about 10 or 11. My brother and I didn’t have costumes to wear nor candy to pass out. Anyways, you know people would run to the door if you have your night light on, but we didn’t. When we heard some kids knocking on our door, we turned off all the lights in the house. That’s was quite funny to me at the time because we heard them say “I know you are in there”. We look in the window to make sure they left before turning some lights back on.

okay….I’m probably too late again but I just had to say Thank you for today! It was so much fun…
I’m not sure about my strangest Halloween….could be though that one of my best Halloweens was getting to wear one of my mom’s square dancing dresses. I used to love those dresses…when I was a little girl, we would go to all the square dance practices and parties with my parents. It was actually fun and exciting. A few years after they quit dancing, she allowed my sister and I to wear one of her dresses…I felt like such a Princess, you know?! That was the best. Some of the weirdest would have to be in my teen years going to a few of those Halloween carnivals….anyone remember those?? LOL!
The scariest was when we went to Ratliff Manor when my own kids were small….they had this great hayride through these dense woods…the headless horseman came out of the dark on his huge horse making us all scream!! But now their haunted barn was just too spooky as well as too gross!! I don’t do gross! LOL!
Well, guess I had a few memories left in me!
Love and With a Smile, Linda-Reducer
