So since the convention had wrapped up today most of the attendees were gone. We still had s a few events going on. In the morning Samhain publishing had a mixer where they did a raffle. I had arrived a bit late and missed out on getting a blanket that they had been handing out…But I did make it for the big raffle giveaway..Well to my surprise I was the winner of the grand prize which included a ton of goodies that were amazing. There is everything from jewellery to mugs to creams and more…

Can I say wohooo..I am really having a lucky streak this week with winning stuff…..With that happening I made sure to buy a lotto ticket….Wish me luck…

Later on in the evening we had movie night with a pajama party..They were showing Dirty Dancing and  a few other movies while serving popcorn, candies, and refreshments…

It was a pleasant evening and it gave everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the last evening here…

I hate the fact that Ihave to say goodbeye to my roomates and to everyone I had met…It just makes mew look forward to next year…To do it all over again…..

Till next time…..

Ok, so where do I start….Wow was it crazy today…From meeting Fabio and Adrian Paul to the 2008 Mr Romance contest..

As you can tell there is so much going on..where does one start…

For those of you wondering how things are coming up with all the video stuff that I have been shooting here..Still no go , so I have to wait till I get back home before anything can be done..

so now….getting back to today’s events…

First off I want to say a HUGE congrats to the 2008 Mr Romance Winner….

(Drum roll please)……

the 2008 Mr Romance winner is Chris Winters

Wwoooohoooooo

cw

WTG Chris, you did it..

I’m so happy that my friend won..He has been working hard and he earned the win….

Since the Mr Romance contest and Cover Model Reunion Dinner were side by side and you had to dress up to the dinner I got all dolled up and went that way to the contest. Funny thing was when I arrived and saw the crowds I really felt over dressed. Most people were in their comfy clothes and I was wearing a cocktail dress….

The whole contest was so much fun, all the guys came out in the start dressed as construction workers as a bunch of the female authors joined them on stage and gushed over them. Each contestant lead an author down the stage and presented himself in front of the panel of judges which ranged for publisher to former models to authors.

Then later on each contestant had to do a small reenactment of a book where they were the hero…Each contestant looked wonderful and made all the ladies drool….They had to seduce the crowd and the heroine which had joined them on stage.

Each contestant also had to take a walk down the stage as the announcers read answers to a specific question that had been asked to the model…

I must say that they all looked so handsome…

By the end of that evening Chris was crowned the 2008 Mr. Romance winner..The winner gets to do a photo shoot to be on a new cover for one large publishing company.

Now I am sure you want to know about my evening with Fabio and Adrian Paul (he played Duncan in Highlander the series).

Myself and my two roommates Renee and Sherri were 3 of 150 people who had a ticket to the big event.

First off I had the honor of being seated at a table with a truly amazing author…

 Who you may ask?

I sat at a table next to Angela Knight

Yes the author of Master of Dragons, Warlord, and so many more…

I was floored and honored…She is truly such an amazing author….

The evening began with a draw for all the cover models that were attending to sit at each of the tables. Some of the Ellora’s Cavemen were also having their names drawn for a table.

After that was settled there was a few introductions and speeches and then Fabio and Adrian Paul were invited to come up to the front where they gave their own sppeches…I must say it was so cool to be sitting and watching both men be just a few feet away…Adrian looks truly handsome in person and I will say so does Fabio.

By the end of the dinner i had gotten the chance to take a photo with both Fabio and Adrian..I also wanted an autograph but had nothing to sign. It was obvious that both hunks were occupied with chit chatting so I quickly made my way back to my room and grabbed a notebook and sharpie…

Yes I got back down in time to get a signature from both

During the dinner I had the chance to chit chat with 2007’s winner Jason Santiago and a few past winners and cover models who were all truly polite and a pleasure to chat with..

It really was a wonderful day filled wit many things…

I can’t wait to post the video’s that I have been shooting this week…

Oh I almost forgot to tell you, today I won an Alphasmart computer that one of the publishers were giving away. How cool is that. I have always wanted one..

Time to go to bed now, it’s 5am and I’m still up…

Another crazy day filled with much running around and things to do..The early morning bean with the Stud Mixer that I had mentioned in my last blog. It was an early party with the one and only Jacquelyn Frank and all the attendees. Coffee and muffins were served while hunky stud muffins made their way around the room and mingled with the crowd.
You cant start your morning any better than coffee, muffins and sexy hunks….

Jacquelyn was wonderful to give away goodies via a draw to the people that had come by to the mixer.

After the mixer had finished we spent s bit of time outside since the day was warm and very sunny. With RT going on you really dont have a lot of time to leave the hotel and since it was a perfect day you could not pass it up.

Club RT was going on for the second day and I had made sure to stop by to see all the authors who had signed up. While there I was fortunate to interview model/actor Bill Freda. He is such a great guy. If you have a chance make sure to hop over to his site and check him out.

I shall post the interview on line once it is available..

At 5pm a few big authors were hosting an event called Reader Safari Happy Hour. The authors were Vivi Anna, Sylvia Day, Delila Devlin,  Myla Jackson, and Sasha White. They each handed out copies of some of their work which they also autographed. More free books to add to the already large pile…

My roommates and I had to make sure to watch the time since today we had the Vampire ball to attend. Last nights Fairy Ball was a huge success that we couldn’t wait to dress up as vampires and have a bit of fun…My roommates and I had been looking forward to the event. In the end each of us looked great all dressed up for the event…

The BLOOD AND STEEL VAMPIRE BALL, DINNER AND DANCE was being hosted by Heather Graham. They had put on a “who done it” type of play

Not everyone ended up dressed up for the party but the ones who had looked gret. It was neat to see all the different costumes.

Since its4:33am I will stop here..I’m currently very tired….and it’s not easy to yupr to you all…

Sweet dreams

I’m still here and kicking. It is 4:25am and i have yet to go to bed…Yes I know…When will I sleep?

Today I attended my first Club RT Event. I was booked to meet readers and talk to publishing companies that had attended the convention. Since I have never been to RT I really had no idea what to expect or what to do. Once I got there I was greeted by a huge billboard with all the author names at the door. As you can see I was scheduled to be there at 3pm.

crt

There were vendors with jewlery, clothes, costumes, photography, publishers, authors and more on the room. This was the place for attendees to come and sit or chat with their fave authors and to also discover some new authors that they might have not known about.

I myself had the chance to see a few more of my favourite authors and chit chat with different publishing companies. Today I also pitched a few of my books to a publisher who loved the idea and requested that I send my work in asap.

How wonderful is that….

Woohooo

fairyball

Also tonight was one of the first big balls. The Under The Sea Fairy Ball. This was the party to be at dressed up or not. I was amazed to see how much time and effort and more went into the costumes that the attendees were wearing. These costumes were so elaborite and fancy.

In case you are wondering, yes I also dressed up….

Once the video situation gets solved I will make sure to post the clips…

At the ball guests were sat at tables that had a free book for each person and a small trinket. There were scrolls that announced the Fairy Ball Court which were rapped with a ribbon and a small mermaids, or dolphin with a marble hanging from the ribbon.

During the event there was a costumes contest where people competed for the best costumes.

Guests were served a meal of salad, chicken with potatoes and peas and for desert there was a slice of chocolate cake.

Yummy…

Everyone had the chance to boogie down and bust a move…You can count that they all did…

As you will see in the links I added with photo’s people cam dressed up in wonderful costumes. the links can be found on the Events page.

As the Mr. romance competition comes closer I have been keeping busy. For the past few days I have been hanging out and doing a behind the scenes shoot of one of the contestants, my friend Chris Winters. This is an inside look at Chris and as he gets ready for the competition.

In case you are wondering, yes that is Chris in a photo that was taken by A & R Photography. I have been asked by many about this photo.

(Photo copyright 2008 A&R Photography)

I have provided a link to the photographers web site. All you have to do is click the name and it will take you there.

I have been lucky enough to receive the above photo. I will also be bringing one back with me signed by Chris himself to give away in a contest.

Just make sure to keep checking out the yahoo loop and the official site for more info on when the contest will occur.

After the Fairy Ball there was another event in the form of a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament that was hosted by Christine Feehan. Attendees were able to meet up and have fun with other attendees and also play in the tournament. I did not participate in the tournament since I have no idea how to play.

At the end of the night I was lucky to hear Mr. Romance 1996 Mark Johnson play some of his amazing music on the piano for me.

It is now almost 5am in the morning and I must get some rest…I have to be up at 7am for a Stud Muffin Mixer with the Jacquelyn Frank…

My adventure shall continue tomorrow with more pictures and more stories to tell

Goodnight
