Sadly I don’t have good news to report about the book warning I posted earlier..I’ve been getting the run around from Amazon and today I got an email from the U.S site saying they will not do anything about the situation because they don’t restrict the use of names to people publishing books on their site. They told me to change my name, and or add a middle name or initial to it.
Urm don’t think so….I have worked way too freaking hard to build my name, my brand and my books..I’m not going to change my name just because someone decided to do this to me..
So its OK to take someones name and use it to do whatever you want…Wow…So I guess if you hate your name this gives you the right to take another name that is known.
The fact that someone can publish under your name leaves me speechless…
I won’t post the links to the books that are out there because I won’t let them be linked to me or my site.. They are now on all the Amazon sites and you will see if you look up which ones they are because well they are not mine and those covers are not found anywhere here on the site.
To say I am pissed off is lightly put…The fact that Amazon won’t do anything about it means that anyone can do whatever they want…
I don’t even have the energy to be pissed off.
Update: 11:40 am
The issue is being taken care of…

Good, I hope it’s being addressed. I’m so angry on your behalf!
I am so sorry you are having trouble. So, does this mean I can write a story using the name William Shakespeare or Angelina Jolie? That is so stupid! I think that if there is a published author already using that name, Amazon (or anyone else) should not allow someone else to use the name.
I hope they get this taken care of soon!
June, the good thing is that as of today the matter is resolved…I am thankful. I did learn something from this whole thing…Thank you so much for all of your support…
Julia thank you also…I am just glad it is over..
That’s awful, but I’m glad its been taken care of.
When I started writing, I didn’t use my married name because someone else was already using it who wrote YA vampire romance. And I didn’t want to be mistaken for her.
Janice~
Janice, I honestly wish it was easier to copyright, register or trademark our name….It would make things easier…
