Black Friday Blog H0p

While the rest of the US is out handling the crowds, fighting for their holiday gifts, some of us like to stay in, shop online, or just ignore Black Friday all to together. This year, join us in our second annual Black Friday Blog Hop! It’s a ONE DAY hop where we’re giving away prizes, talking about books we love, and most likely  eating left over turkey. :-)
The hop is November 23rd and is ONE DAY only.

And while we do that, we are EACH doing a giveaway. Yep. There will be over 200 giveaways on each blog hosted by that Author or Blogger.

But that’s not all….

We have THREE grand prizes. You as a reader can go to EACH blog and comment with your email address and be entered to win. Yep, you can enter over 200 times!

Now what are those prizes?

1st Grand Prize: A Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet

2nd Grand Prize: A $75 Amazon or B&N Gift Card

3rd Grand Prize: A Swag Pack that contains paperbacks, ebooks, 50+ bookmarks, cover flats, magnets, pens, coffee cozies, and more!

I will be giving away: 1 ebook copy, winners choice

So with the theme of this blog being about Black Friday I thought I would touch on the topic of shopping. So with Black Friday here it means many people will be going to shop till they drop. Even stores here in Canada are trying to keep consumers here by doing huge sales. They don’t want people going over the border to spend money there when they could do so here.

I have never ever gone shopping on Black Friday or even Boxing Day. It always makes me shake my head when I see on the news that people are sleeping in front of a store just so they are first to buy something..

Trust me as a girl I would love to shop till I drop, especially for shoes and clothes but it is so not worth getting caught and trampled on by people going crazy for a deal. Each year all I remember from these so called shopping holidays is how people were hurt or killed. Is getting a deal so worth getting hurt or loosing your life?
Have you ever gone shopping on Black Friday? If so was it worth the craziness? What makes people loose their mind over a sale?

At least we know with ebook books we don’t have to leave the comfort of our home to get them..With one click of the mouse you have a story to get lost in…Before I go I wanted to tell you about a yummy re-release I have coming out Dec 17 called Taste of Passion. It is twice the size of the original book. More hotness for you to indulge in..

Bakery owner Valentine Benington’s day just went from the best of her life to the worst. Toronto Tribune reviewer, David Fraser, shows up for a review just after a fire comes close to destroying her kitchen. After David’s last assignment, which ended with food poisoning, it’s not the best of starts, especially since the job is a last-minute thing. He doesn’t expect to run into a woman from his past. First looks can be deceiving. The food isn’t the only thing on the menu he’d like to taste. When these two get baking, the flames from the oven aren’t the only thing setting the kitchen on fire.

Crowds of people shopping is the stuff of nightmares for me. I like shopping if I have a purpose. I’m not an aimless shopper.

JanDNovember 23rd, 2012 at 6:54 am

I’ve done it once and the crowd wasn’t bad but not planning to do it again.

We don`t have Black Friday deals here (I`m an international reader), so I`m just attending giveaways like this, lol.

Karen H in NCNovember 23rd, 2012 at 8:19 am

I do my Black Friday shopping on-line. I hate those crowds too. Thanks for the giveaway.

I’ve done it once and the deals just weren’t worth the insanity. But I know a lot of people who do it as a “family event” or a “girls day out”.

SheyNovember 23rd, 2012 at 10:11 am

No no no!!! I stay home all day until I know the crazy people have finally gone to bed after their craziness!!!

Vallory VanceNovember 23rd, 2012 at 10:11 am

I went once with my stepmom and the hassle wasn’t worth it. I haven’t been since. t(dot)mailhes(at)yahoo(dot)com

Brenda D.November 23rd, 2012 at 10:40 am

I prefer to shop online. I don’t like rude people and for some reason, people tend to be especially obnoxious on Black Friday!

VeronikaNovember 23rd, 2012 at 11:01 am

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here I live, so no Black Friday for me either. But it must be fun to go shopping :)

Jinni JamesNovember 23rd, 2012 at 11:11 am

I have never done the black Friday shopping craziness. I shop all the time and love it but I’d much rather shop when there isn’t thousands of other people shopping for the same things. I’d much rather sit at home in front of the fireplace.

I LOVE the cover of your book!

Becca PattersonNovember 23rd, 2012 at 11:35 am

I’ve learned a lot of tricks to keep my gift giving budget in line and miss out on all the hoopla of the Black Friday sales.

Thanks for sharing

miriam romanNovember 23rd, 2012 at 11:57 am

Oh i’m staying home this black friday!!! Nothing in the sale ads could make me go today. i do like to look them over and usually can find a better deal online.thanks you for joining the hop!

Katie WhiteNovember 23rd, 2012 at 12:13 pm

I went out last night. It was insane. This was my first and last time ever doing that. I will be clicking and shipping from now on.

Irene V.November 23rd, 2012 at 12:25 pm

I don’t think it’s worth if you have to drag your little one out with you. Too much chaos I think but some people live for the hunt.

CarlaNovember 23rd, 2012 at 1:28 pm

I’m not a Black Friday shopper. I don’t believe that shopping should ever be a full contact sport. I spend the day baking cookies with my kiddos instead.

micheleann oboyleNovember 23rd, 2012 at 1:49 pm

i go to my local shopping cenetr on black friday for a gift card giveaway now im doing the blog hop

Patti HoppeNovember 23rd, 2012 at 1:51 pm

I love shopping but can’t stand waiting in line ups. I figure my time is worth something too, so I’d rather pay regular price for something I really want on a normal day than wait in a line for hours to save money on something that I didn’t want or to have the item I really wanted be sold out. About the only line up I wait in is for coffee!!

Dawna NewmanNovember 23rd, 2012 at 3:05 pm

I used to work on Black Friday and that kind of curbed my temptation in going .

Danita MinnisNovember 23rd, 2012 at 3:14 pm

I love shopping…until my feet hurt and my stomach growls, then I hate it. Today is for reading and writing! :)

Crystal YoungNovember 23rd, 2012 at 3:15 pm

I don’t shop on Black Friday to many people, In fact my cousin just called and someone got punched in the face at the store she was at.
Thanks for the chance to win

I do not like crowds so BF shopping is not for me! I will be spending my day hopping and then snuggled up reading! Well that is after I decide on what new book I have just added to my to be read list! It gets longer every hop! Thanks!

I am thankful for all the wonderful books I am finding on the hop!

Christine MooreNovember 23rd, 2012 at 3:38 pm

No Black Friday here too many people.

Kandy TylerNovember 23rd, 2012 at 3:53 pm

No black Friday shopping for me…

PhuongNovember 23rd, 2012 at 3:59 pm

I’ve shopped twice on Black Friday but at stores where not much craziness since no electronics involved! I haven’t done any more shopping since and don’t plan on it. I’d rather be home relaxing and spending my time buying ebooks instead. Thanks for chance at giveaway.

Lisa WalkerNovember 23rd, 2012 at 4:00 pm

I’ve made some nice deals through internet, but as I don’t live in the US I haven’t experienced the real craziness and I don’t think I’d do that. I’m more for less crowds.

lauraNovember 23rd, 2012 at 5:23 pm

I usually dont go,unless there is something I really want to buy.

Becky WardNovember 23rd, 2012 at 5:26 pm

I’m not a Black Friday shopper. I do’t like the crowds or fighting over something that isn’t that important. I would prefer to buy online than deal with the crowds on black Friday.

Renee BennettNovember 23rd, 2012 at 5:27 pm

This is the BEST way to spend Black Friday. Sitting at home, hopping with old friends and making new ones. I can’t handle the crowds anymore so I only do Black Friday shopping online if I do any. I tend to pick up gifts throughout the year so come November I’m finished. That way I can spread out the purchasing and not spend a fortune at the time of the year when my job is at its slowest and my paycheck is at its lowest. Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win.

Mary PrestonNovember 23rd, 2012 at 6:10 pm

I think you’d have to be crazy to shop at the sales.

Thanks for the giveaway.

Michelle LevanNovember 23rd, 2012 at 6:18 pm

Did anyone else ever notice, they mark prices up, just to knock them down, then only have 3 in stock for the item that you were going for? Ah, I stayed home today with the kids, though with all the fighting they were doing it kinda felt like I was out in the crowd!

JoNovember 23rd, 2012 at 6:24 pm

I haven’t done any Black Friday shopping yet – I only left the house this morning to take my daughter and her friends to a movie. Thanks for being in the hop!

I love Black Friday shopping. It’s totally worth the crowds.

Thanks for the giveaway.

Marlena FeinNovember 23rd, 2012 at 9:43 pm

I went Black Friday shopping once, last year, and will never do so again. While it was not as crazy as the news makes it out to be (I didn’t see anyone get trampled or killed) it wasn’t enjoyable at all. The savings to me were not worth the aggravation and there isn’t enough xanax in the world for me to ever do it again.

Thanks so much for being a part of the hop and for the giveaway.

Happy Holidays,

Every year since I was 16 :) love bf shopping!!
Thank you!

Sue SattlerNovember 23rd, 2012 at 10:46 pm

I love Black Friday shopping, but this year I waited until the store was almost empty and I still got all the specials on my list. I live in a small town and even though there are a couple hundred people in Wal-Mart, most are friendly and they even say excuse me when they push you to get to what they want. I would never shop in the places they show in the news, way too scary., but in my town, I try to go every year.

Jessie LlewellynNovember 23rd, 2012 at 10:49 pm

I don’t participate in the craziness of shopping on Black Friday. Prefer to do my shopping after or online. Thanks for the giveaway & being part of this awesome hop!
