This is a sweet hot novella. I loved the way Ms. Chase let us get to know the characters. Nico starts off as a sweet innocent character but you learn quickly that she has a wild side. Jeff’s your regular stand up guy, and I loved that he was a construction worker because that’s what my hubby does. When these two finally get together the fireworks are hotter than the forth of July. If you like romance with a little heat then I highly recommend this book.

I throughly enjoyed Bid For Love. It is a sweet romance that has you rooting for both Nico and Jeff the entire story and wishing for friends as true as Fran and Audrey.

Like many of us, Nico considers herself plain. She compares herself unfavorably to her buxom co-workers and other women. Jeff is extremely shy when around Nico. He doesn’t consider himself that special and has a hard time believing he was listed as one of the ten sexiest men. I found myself wanting them to talk to each other some how and get together. I was kept on the edge of my seat as situation after situation happened to the both of them.

I laughed out loud at several of Ms. Chase’s descriptions. Her whit is razor edged and shone throughout this story. I especially loved when she spoke about wanting variety and visiting the local ice cream parlor. There are several places that I’ve also wondered about. With the detailed descriptions in this story, I now know all about speed dating and bachelor auctions. My heart was in my throat during the entire auction.

Savannah Chase’s first book, Bid For Love, is an enjoyable read that I heartily recommend.

When I read the book, I could see where the author drew her characters loosely on the Sex and the City girls. Almost all women have girlfriends that they can complain to, cry with and generally be themselves without fear of being judged. Nico, Fran and Audrey are three such women. I loved their comraderie and sarcastic wit. Most women can relate to Nico’s reluctance to put herself out there to possibly be rejected. Jeff’s relationship with his childhood friend epitomizes the guy type of relationship. Jeff and his friend, Ryan, go out to drink beer and shoot pool; a typical guy evening. However, when Jeff realizes the pool night is really a speed date night, I laughed until I cried. I can imagine the look on his face as a mixture of horror, fear and resignation all at once. The way the author uses the various areas of the city to bring the two wannabe lovers together is priceless. The by-play between the friends to insure the end result was well-written, fresh and unexpected. I particularly enjoyed the exploration of relationships from both points of view. That is not often reflected in such an impressive way. This book is the perfect length for someone looking for a short story with a lot of meat and substance to it without having to go through hundreds of pages for the heart of the story. I look forward to the next Savannah Chase book because I am sure it will be money well spent.

Bid for Love is the story of two ships passing in the night. The near misses these two have with each other is so sad you have to laugh or you will cry for fear of them never getting together. When Nico and Jeff finally get together the explosion is phenomenal and it steams up the computer!

I think one of the best things in Bid for Love is the friendships. These women will do anything for each other and it is nice to see the tight friendship bond without all the cattiness. Savannah Chase tells a wonderful tale of mishap and she had me laughing and crying all at once. I can’t wait to see what else Ms. Chase has to offer.

Jeff was the owner of Landspree Construction and he wanted to get to know Nico so well. He wasn’t looking for a one night stand. He wanted a forever kind of romance. He felt he could have that with Nico. When he was approached about taking part in the Valentine’s Day bachelor auction, he agreed to do his part for charity. He just wanted it to be over so he could start pursuing his dream woman.

Ms. Savannah Chase has written a highly sensual, attention grabbing novella which is hotter than it first appears. Her characters are so well matched that it seems as if this couple could actually be real. She showed the alpha qualities in Jeff and the insecurity in Nico. She also represented them so that it was easy to realize that, no matter the main feelings, people seldom act strictly as expected.

The great storyline has a surprise ending that I certainly didn’t see coming. It was a great book which I highly recommend. It’s graphic but not offensive.

With a realistic story, girlfriends that genuinely care for each other, a gorgeous man and smoldering love scenes, Ms. Chase wraps it all into a nice and tidy package. This was a delightful read and I am looking forward to more from this author.

This was a very uplifting story. The one man Nico wishes to go on a date with, Jeff (every woman’s dream of a hottie!) she wouldn’t dare ask. As it turns out, Jeff’s got a little crush of his own. It seems at every turn they come close to each other only to be pulled back. You’re cheering these two on to the very end. I didn’t leave my chair until I’d devoured every page. A very sexy, sensually charged read.

Sound familiar? Maybe you have a great deal in common with Nico, the heroine in Savannah Chase’s newest novel, Bid For Love.

Nico thinks of herself as a modern gal, perhaps a little on the boring side. Maybe that’s why her friends’ constant badgering about Jeff is starting to get on her nerves. Audrey even has the nerve to hint she’ll take the yummy Jeff if Nico never plans to make a move on him. Great—all she needs is man-hungry Audrey gobbling the source of her fantasies. If only she could be more adventurous and take a chance. Besides her hidden tattoo, the most excitement in her life at this point is agreeing to attend the Valentine’s Day Bachelor Auction. She is unsure why she is attending because none of those hot guys would want to go out with her.

Jeff isn’t sure how he ended up on the ten sexiest bachelors list, but he did. Along with the list came a phone call asking him to be part of the Valentine’s Day Bachelor Auction. Since it is for a good cause, it seemed like the thing to do. Strange, he is willing to parade in front of nameless women, but he could not ask out the sweet-faced woman who walked by his site every day. Usually, they just smile at each other, and a couple of times they talked. What would be great is if she was at the auction, even if it doesn’t mean she will bid on him.

Both Jeff’s and Nico’s doubts and insecurities make them real and vulnerable. Reading the tale is the equivalent to watching a courtship unfold. It is peppered with chuckles from the feisty secondary characters plus the skewed views Nico and Jeff have of themselves as date-worthy material. The story moves well without any filler.

Bid For Love is straight up hot romance, doesn’t pretend to be anything else and delivers in the end. It is a story well worth gobbling up. Its only drawback is that I wish there was more—much more.

This story was awesome. Nico and Jeff are star crossed lovers. Both want the othe one, but neither has the courage to say anything. So, Nico’s friends hatch a plan in secret to help them get together. They organize a charity bachelor auction and invite Jeff to be auctioned off. When Nico discovers the object of her secret desire on the block, she must decide if she has the courage to make a BID FOR LOVE. This story was hilarious. Both Nico and Jeff have quirky friends who try and help them get out of their dating ruts. Some of their plans are not only unsuccessful, some are downright hilarious. I loved this book.
