The best day of Valentine Benington’s life just became the worst. After his last assignment ended badly, Toronto Tribune reviewer, David Fraser, shows up for a review, feeling just a little bit leery. It turns out the they knew each other in the past. First looks can be deceiving.
I liked several of the twists and turns that Ms. Chase wove into the fabric of her story. In particular, I enjoyed the way she used the device of the kitchen fire and the previous case of food poisoning to grab the attention of the reader and to draw them into the story. Once I opened the file and began to read Taste of Passion, I was unable to stop reading until I had reached the author’s bio. Ms. Chase has written a story that is rich in life, love, courage, conflict, and triumph. She has created a world in which I could readily see myself living. Her characters are so three-dimensional that I could easily see myself sitting down to share a holiday meal with David and Valentine. ‘Taste of Passion’ is one that I shall read many times in both the near and far future.

Taste of Passion is a tasty, delectable quick read. Savannah Chase knows how to deliver. Valentine was so endearing, even her name is sweet. When things were not going her way, Valentine tries to make the most of the situation. David knows what he wants and he goes after it. The sexual tension and build up between David and Valentine was hot enough to start another fire in the kitchen. I can’t wait to see what Savannah Chase has up her sleeve next.

An erotic short story that is a very fun read. Having been in professional food service some years ago, I well understood the pressures of order deadlines to which the visit from a food reviewer was added. Oh brother!! Lots of sizzle and a good bit of writing by Ms Chase.

The author packs a lot of story into a few pages, and Valentine and David’s love story is one everyone will enjoy. The plot flows smoothly and the love scenes are very erotic. The characters are well written and likeable. I love a story where two old acquaintances reconnect, and this one is one of the best I have read in a long while.
