Wow, whose are amazing. I’d love to know what some of them are. Could you label them? Just a thought. Oh, I’d love to know the story behind the statues that come up from the street. 🙂

Please forgive me that there was not explanation of the pics. I had pasted it but I must have not updated the post.
Pic 1 is the. Japanese Gardens in Wroclaw. They were created with the help of Japanese garden specialists.
Pic 2 the sleepy gnome which sleeps in front of the Patio Hotel. There are many of them around Wroclaw. Each is very different. They were created as a artistic expression and became so popular that people would try to take them. People would come at night and try to saw them off at the ankles.
Now there are so many around the city in different places that it has become a journey to search to find them all.
Pic 3 is the Christmas market that opens each year for a week in the heart of the city. You can buy home made meats, baked goods and other treats.
Pic 4 this is Wroclaw University at night.
Pic 5 heart of the city, the huge Christmas tree that goes up each year.
Pic 6 this is the Wroclaw square, so full of history.
Pic 7 this bldg is now a shop and a school. During the war Hitler spoke here to the army when they invaded the country.
Pic 8 the freedom statues, on one side of the street the statues are going under the ground and on the other they are coming up. It is to symbolize the depression and war when people hid underground.
Pic 9 the square, this was a memorial for the president, his wife and the 80 plus people who died when their plane crashed over Russia.
Pic 10 Krakow, this is the Jagielonska University, one of the oldest buildings and a historical monument. Yes it is still used today as a University.
P 11 the Karpacz mountains, this was May and the snow was very visible as the weather was very cold.
P 12 the multimedia fountain in Wroclaw, at night the fountain does a light show with classical music. The fountain runs all day but the effects are amazing once the night comes.
P 13 this use to be a cathedral but it is now a government building. On one side in the basement is a restaurant and a pub.

How very cool. I’ve never been to anywhere except the North American continent. I must start saving up my pennies. I need to go and see some of these beautiful sights.
