Thursday 13

I was at the store looking at what new DVD’s came out and I walked by the game section. It reminded me when I was a kind and use to spend hours playing Super Nintendo.
Super Nintendo you ask?? Yeah ever before Wii or Xbox there was Nintendo and Super Nintendo.

I don’t think we ever had a Nintendo. An Atari, yes.

Ugh. I’m so old. LOL!

Happy TT!

Ha, I never had Nintendo. I had Etch a Sketch – that was the high end video game – who can trump that for aging oneself ? !

Savannah ChaseFebruary 17th, 2011 at 9:38 am

Eden I remember Etch a Sketch…..Those were fun…

You are not old either….You’re a young hottie just like the other ladies above…

Is it crazy that I went from Atari to a Wii? I never had anything inbetween. And I only want workout or dance games for the Wii. I’m so not a digital game. *hangs head*

Happy TT,

I don’t have one, but I have an Atari…straight from the 1980s. I LOVE it! Sure, mostly it sits in a drawer, but every once in a while, I’m feeling nostalgic and pull it out. LOL

Hey there fellow crusader,
I owned a super Nintendo when I was in junior high- my mother used to play all the games though. Have a fairy wonderful day!

Savannah ChaseFebruary 17th, 2011 at 9:54 am

Xakara wow you made a huge leap…

Lynn don’t ever toss it out. The old systems are collector items and people will pay big for them.

Summer I think all parents played the SN. I remember mine did too and they were better at it than me.

I’ve never been much into this kind of thing. My one daughter is nuts about it though. Interesting.
Happy Thursday Thirteen.

I never had those kinds of games. The technology had just come out and I was “too old” and into other things. But I do remember playing some at a friend’s during college.

[Reply]

Savannah ChaseFebruary 17th, 2011 at 12:00 pm

Adelle it was fun to play as a kid.

Paige that is cool. I think the older games were different and less simple, not so much violence.

Mary you are never too old to play video games.

I never had a game console back in the day, but I remember the existence of Super Nintendo. Zelda is that old? I had no idea.

[Reply]

Savannah ChaseFebruary 17th, 2011 at 12:24 pm

Alice yes Zelda is that old. Most people have no idea how long it has been around. That is one of my fave games. I loved playing it. For those times the graphics were so good. I’ve seen the Wii one and it has changed a lot with the technology.

Casey SheridanFebruary 17th, 2011 at 4:26 pm

My brother broke my Etch-a-sketch. What an asshole. LOL!

We still have our SNES and that Zelda game(along with about 20 other games for it). I got so I could beat the Zelda one in less that six hours. πŸ™‚
Of course we know have quite a few systems. Only things we don’t have are the XBox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii. Oh and have never had any of the Sega systems.

Shelley I’ve yet to get one of the new systems….

Yvette LOL yeah the music was not the best…

Jennifer, Mario will grow with the times…

Beth way to go. That is a record…I remember Sega, never owned it but had played it at a friends house…

I sort of fell of the gaming bus after Ms. Pacman. Of course, I have dated gamers, and game designers, and am now married to an amateur robotics engineer and gamer.

There’s a salacious comment in there somewhere, but I can’t find it… ~waggles eyebrows~

Savannah ChaseFebruary 18th, 2011 at 8:30 pm

A. Catherine how come you fell of the bus?

YvesFebruary 19th, 2011 at 1:03 pm
