Yes, Savannah Chase has arrived at the 2008 Romantic Times Book-Lovers Convention in Pittsburgh…
Oh what a trip it was. I had a 52 minute flight on one of those small aircraft….Lets say you feel the bumps…I was lucky enough to bump into author Kate Bridges and her husband..It was wonderful to see a familiar face. For of you who don’t know, Kate and I are both part of the TRW which is the Toronto chapter of the Romance Writers of America.
While flying i made sure to take a photo of the view. Doesn’t that just look wonderful? The view from that kind of height was just breathtaking….I will say that the flight was not as bad as I expected it to be..I was nervous but it was still great…I was lucky to sit next to a really nice businessman who was coming to the city for a few days of work….Chatting with him made the flight go a little smoother and faster..
After we departed the plane I caught a ride to the hotel with Kate which I am truly grateful for..I was surprised to see how calm and quiet it was at the airport. It’s nothing compared to the airport I departed from…It was quiet and empty..
The hotel that the convention is going on at is currently under renovations…
I got there before 12 and the hotel was nice enough to let me check in my bags and get into my room a lot earlier. Check in time is 3pm…

While on my way to my room I was greeted by fellow author and friend Kaenar Langford, she had invited me to join her and a few other wonderful authors for some lunch…
At around 5:30pm I decided to stop in to the RT Virgins workshop. Basically it is an introduction to attendees who have never attended. It tells them what to expect and all the things that will be going on for the next few days. We were also given these buttons that said “Be Gentle With Me, I’m An RT Virgin”….LOL..
After the RT Virgin was over I ran into Chris, a friend of mine..For those of you who don’t know Chris Winters is a contestant in this years Mr. Romance contest. All I can say is that he is one of the sweetest guys I have ever had the chance to meet. He is such a gentle man and truly a beautiful guy. If you ever have to chance to meet him you won’t be disappointed. In the next few days I will be bringing you an interview and inside look into what Chris is up to here at RT.
Myself and Chris and a few other authors headed over to the hotel restaurant to chit chat and a few of us grabbed a bite to eat….
On my way back from the restaurant I ran into author Jacquelyn Frank,. She is one of my favourite authors. It was just so amazing to get to meet her in person. She so nice and such a pleasure to talk to….
It is just the first day but so far I have met so many amazing people..
I can’t wait to start posting the Chasing RT Videos, you will get a more in-depth look at what is going on..
